Gaia's Voice
Gaia’s Voice was created alongside my senior recital at James Madison University. For this project, I wanted each track relates to nature in some way, either through the inspiration behind the composition or through the title and concept of the arrangement.
This album was supported by the JMU Undergraduate Research Grant, which gave me the opportunity to professionally record nearly 30 musicians across the project. Gaia’s Voice became one of the largest and most diverse recording projects I had put together.
A Drop in the Ocean
Created alongside my junior recital at James Madison University in 2025, this project was the first full album I attempted to produce. I organized 15 musicians for the live recording and used the music as an opportunity to stretch my harmonic language, compositional approach, and ensemble writing.
Jacob's Junk Band
Recorded in 2024, this project features a jazz ensemble I assembled to perform and record big band charts written during my first two years of college. Scores for each piece are available on the “Works” page. I chose to call the album "Jacob's Junk Band" because the album is half jazz half funk their for "J-unk."
Movin' and Groovin'
Movin’ and Groovin’ was my first recording project. Recorded in 2023, the project features a small collection of original compositions and arrangements, all self-produced.
